Forecasting and Nuance, 12/30/05




I took chess lessons for a year from 'The Grandmaster' all the while thinking about the markets, trading and trading systems. What I learned from those lessons was the power of nuance - the cascading insights brought by experience and the continuous pursuit of a single objective.

I continually search for the next insight now, the nuance that means just a bit of an edge for just a little while longer.

Today, I saw this:
"Different forecasting methods for different weather scenarios."

Now isn't that interesting...
