The Heavy Equipment Operator

I am, and have always been, a heavy equipment operator.

Always moving something - a mountain, a river or an idea - from here to there.

From the old-timers I learned. Everything.

And then I learned to change Everything into new Things.

One day I built a machine that traded.

One day I built a machine that built machines that traded.

One day I measured the rate of change of an ever-changing cycle and
threw all, save one, of the machines away.

The next day I built a new machine. And a while later, another.

The new machines all require operators.

Which is as it should be.
