It is the Adventurers Who Accomplish Great Things, 12/05/05
My grandfather used to say, "You have to know when a job is done.
You have to know when you're finished."
It is good to ask of a market and a methodology then:
"Is my job here finished?
Have I reached the point of diminishing returns?"
"Does the potential in other markets exceed the potential
of pushing further with what I'm doing now?"
"Will a change in markets help me to learn and invent new methodologies
that will carry me beyond the ever-changing cycles?"
One of my favorite paintings is subtitled,
"It is the Adventurers Who Accomplish Great Things," and it shows
a very young boy setting off an adventure with his whimsical friends -
On to the next.
